Ellen Dean
Ellen has received a B.S. degree from Texas Tech University in Family Relations/Psychology, and a M.S. in Marriage and Family Therapy from Texas Woman's University. As a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, she works with individuals, couples, families, adolescents and children. Also Ellen Dean is certifed as a Nouthetic (Biblical) Counselor through NANC-the National Association of Nouthetic Counselors.
She is a Biblical Counselor and believes that God's Word is sufficient for teaching and guiding us in life and in relationships. Ellen believes a personal relationship with Jesus Christ is the beginning of abundant life and true joy. She uses Biblical principles and verses in her counseling, and prays with and for her clients. Ellen is married to Dr. Bob Dean, Executive Director of Dallas Baptist Association effective Oct 1, 2006. Previously, he was a pastor for 28 years. They have two grown children.
Also, she is certified as an instructor with the Couple Communication and Collaborative Team Skills Training Programs. Ellen is certified in Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM). She also does premarital, grief, and divorce recovery counseling.
